Bring the problem you want solved. We’ll shape it into a project brief you can keep — or let AI draft a first approach.
The hard part of an integration is often agreeing what a record means. Two systems may use the same word for different statuses, or different identifiers for the same lot. Moving data faster does not resolve that disagreement.
For each field, document the authoritative system and the owner responsible for changes. Include item, lot, sample and location identifiers, quantities, units and status values.
Treat quality status as a controlled business concept. An inventory application should not infer release merely because a result arrived from a laboratory system.
Specify what starts the transfer and what constitutes success. A receipt, completed review and approved adjustment are different events. Determine whether the connection uses an API, a scheduled export or another documented interface.
Confirm vendor versions, access permissions, licensing and test environments before promising a connector. Keep credentials out of client applications and public project briefs.
A network timeout can leave the sender unsure whether a change reached the destination. Use stable event identifiers and agreed duplicate-handling behavior so a retry does not create a second movement or overwrite a newer record.
Define what happens when records arrive out of order. Preserve enough context to understand and reconcile the outcome rather than hiding it behind a generic “sync failed” message.
An exception queue should show the affected record, the failed check, the source and the next permitted action. Assign an owner and distinguish automatic retry from manual correction.
Exercise missing references, unavailable systems, unit mismatches and duplicate inputs in the pilot. Reconciliation should compare the resulting business records, not merely count successful HTTP responses.
Document monitoring, access changes, recovery and escalation. Agree on what staff should do if one system becomes unavailable and how normal operation resumes without losing context.
